Returned the Canon Powershot A10000 IS for a Canon Powersot SD1200 IS. The Canon Powersot SD1200 IS considerably better for not much more money. If you want cheap plastic casing go w/the A1000.

Tried this camera for about a week. It will NOT focus at distance. Even on Program mode when focus set to Infinity shots are blurry.

perfect focus up to 3ft. Beyond that even at zoom, every thing is blurry. THis is one of the worst cameras I ever purchased.

We had an old A420 the was great...were hoping for the same at least. This is actualy worse...how can that be posible?

This camera is very poorly made, battery compartment is awkward to open and hard to keep shut. Camera is diffiult to turn on with the recessed power button. Suck batteries dry overnight if you leave them in the camera - even if camera is turned off. Love the other canon elph i had - but this one is going in the trash and I am getting one of the others instead. Don't recommend at all.

A very smooth buying experience -- I received what I wanted, in a short period of time, for a good price.

Very versatile camera, even a child could and has operated it. Light weight, great resolution and easy to handle. I would recommend this camera to all my friends and family. We had a Kodak Z740 prior to this one and its LCD screen was damaged although we couldn't understand why or how. Let's hope this one stays around longer.
