[tag]Digital cameras[/tag] have become the standard today for taking more pictures of better quality that cost far less than with a conventional [tag]film camera[/tag]. But sometimes the perfect picture seems to elude us no matter how hard we try. Fortunately for time like these high quality affordable [tag]digital photography software[/tag] is readily available. It is now quite easy to get the perfect picture with a little modifying and editing.
We are going to explore some of the fine [tag]digital photography editing software[/tag] you can use you can use right out of the box to maybe become the next Ansel Adams.
The software:
1. [tag]IrfanView[/tag] – This is one I’ve used extensively and recommend highly. It’s completely free and is very easy to control. You have many features that will allow you to alter, crop, and cut your images exactly the way you’d like them to be. You can even produce slideshows and enhance the color, contrast, and brightness of your pictures.
2. [tag]Image Force[/tag] – Here is another [tag]free digital editing program[/tag] with tools to both edit and paint. With the image editor you can transfer images from you digital camera and scanner. It also has features that will allow you to modify, send, and print you photos. This program is a little more complicated to use but still provides a quality result.
3. [tag]Picasa[/tag] – This is googles [tag]free photo editing software[/tag]. You can edit and share all of you photos you have saved on your computer with this program. The cool thing picasa offers is the ability to set all of your images and then sort them by album with a date on each folder. You can drag and drop each album to organize them and also create labels for them. You can also share and send you pictures through uploading them to emails and blogs.
4. [tag]PhotoFilter[/tag] – Another rather simple piece of photo editing software. Its features are limited but it has an intuitive interface with a lot of image adjustment buttons, effects, and filters.
5. [tag]VCW Photo Editor[/tag] – You have the option with this editing program of a free version or a paid version. Obviously the free version has limited features but still provides plenty of editing and painting features. It also includes tools for modifying text, color replacement, gradients, editing in scales, selection by region of color, and special effects.
6. [tag]Kodak EasyShare Freeware[/tag] – This is one I’ve used a bit and found it to be fairly rudimentary in it’s capabilities. You still have the ability to modify, share, and even print your pictures and is recommended for the very beginner since it is so easy to use.
7. [tag]Serif Photo Plus[/tag] – This digital photography editing software has the benefits of editable text, image slicing, export optimizer, image maps, smart shapes, selection tools and other image enhancement tools. The current version is available free online and a CD is available for the cost of shipping.
8. [tag]Picture Shark[/tag] – With this freeware you can inscribe visible text or logos on the pictures. Additional features includes: The Wizard user interface; the capacity to of produce real watermarks; it also has a feather that creates edges between the picture and the stamp, to make the image smarter; and its support any image format.
9. [tag]ADG Panorama[/tag] – Similar to the many I’ve already talked about. You can again share your photos with ease and produce them quickly. You can also embed, edit and publish 360 degrees of interactive panoramic composition directly online. You can only use this software on the Internet.
