As I appreciate Nikon brand this time there was a disappointment. I bought this camera to shot some pictures but also to be able to make a short video shots. Well, after couple videos it appeared that the camera records poor quality videos especially in outdoor conditions where there is a lot of bright light. Recorded video had half screen yellow with pink straps and the rest of it was with a normal color.

Pictures taken with this camera are OK, although AF could work better. Automatic scene selection works fine but I'd prefer more manual setup. So, overall the camera performs well, besides this movie making aspect which in my case was pretty important. That was the main reason for which I have returned the camera to Amazon.

The image quality of this camera sucks. Battery life is also poor.
Only good thing about this camera is its style. The lowest end
Canon camera's at least produce good quality pictures.

The Nikon S220 is a very compact camera. I bought this camera for my son to learn how to take photos. It has alot of nice things going for it like size and weight and it is pretty easy to get around in the menu but I will tell you that the macro dosen't really do macro and unless you lower the exposure compensation all the way down no matter what the white balance is set to your photos will come out very bright. For such a little camera I am suprised that the ISO can go up to 2000 (which the photos come out very grainy). I use a Canon Rebel and with the ISO set to 1600 (which is as high as it goes) my photos dont have that problem. This is nothing more then a point and shoot camera. If you want to take photos of a building without getting close then this is the camera for you. If you want to take real photos of people or macro then I think you should spend the money on a real camera.

I never got the camera and I have been trying to get a hold of the seller and the customer service at amazon to get back with me. I never even got my money back. I got the camera chip 3 weeks ago but nothing more. I order the 2 together so I know the address is right. Some one contact me so I can get this resolved.
